A trip to Disney is about making memories and meeting heroes, and, of course, all the FUN! A photo captures these moments forever. Everyone in the park is looking to steal a moment with their favorite Disney characters, so how can you avoid a line and the crowds that engulf your favorite character?

InsureMyTrip recently ran an informal online poll to learn which “Original Disney” characters are still favorites. So, with that in mind, here are some pointers for snapping a photo with some popular Disney folks.

Mickey Mouse Greets Guests at Disney's Hollywood Studios
Mickey Mouse greets guests inside a specially themed area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios called “Mickey and Minnie Starring in Red Carpet Dreams.” Mickey appears in a scene from “Fantasia,” where he’s portraying his iconic role of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Here, guests can get Mickey’s autograph, snap their own photos with him, and a Disney PhotoPass photographer is on hand to capture all of the special moments. (David Roark, photographer)

Mickey Mouse.

He’s the most popular mouse in the world and is in very high demand. We recommend you grab dinner at the Garden Grill in The Land Pavilion at Epcot. Mickey, along with Chip, Dale and other Disney superstars stop in for handshakes and photos during dinner. Plus, you get to eat!!

The Astounding Donaldo
Set in one of the tents in Storybook Circus, Pete’s Silly Sideshow character greeting shines the spotlight on Minnie Magnifique (Minnie Mouse as a circus star), Madame Daisy Fortuna (Daisy Duck as a fortune teller), The Great Goofini (Goofy as a stunt pilot) and The Astounding Donaldo (Donald Duck as a snake charmer). Storybook Circus is part of the expansion project which nearly doubles the size of Fantasyland, a multiyear project set to grand open Dec. 6, 2012 at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Donald Duck.

Donald is a sore spot for me.  He is rarely scene in his classic sailor outfit now. In fact, you may have an easier time spotting a unicorn than sailor Don. But, if you want to have a photo with the famous duck, head over to Pete’s Silly Sideshow in Fantasyland. You’ll also get a chance to snap a pic with Minnie and Daisy too!

Goofy.

As mentioned, I like my characters in classic robe. Goofy is no exception. But, I also love breakfast. So, I’ll recommend a trip to Chef Mickey’s.  Goofy makes the rounds as he serves up some Mickey shaped pancakes with plenty of smiles.

And don’t forget about Pluto!

He’s a scene stealer in every classic Disney cartoon. Pluto can be found, and cuddled, on Main Street USA, right in the Town Square.  What a way to start the day! And for a giant dog, he has a really clear signature.
