We all know the world famous Rockettes – and we know it’s a MUST if you are traveling to NYC during the holiday season. Why miss out because you don’t think you can afford the tickets?

You already know the basics: check for matinee shows (a Tuesday show at 11am starts at $45) and book in advance to get the best seats at the lowest prices. But tickets for the Christmas Spectacular can sky rocket all the way up to $600. How do you get the most expensive seats, the best seats at reasonable prices? You just need to know where to look.

Online Discount Vouchers.

You probably already frequent these websites for discounted admission for a PaintNite or your favorite Tapas restaurant. But – you can also score big on event tickets! Both Groupon and Living Social are currently promoting deals for the Christmas Spectacular. You can get tickets valued at $75 at the low price of $45!

Hotel Concierges.

Typically this is service that most travelers see as a “luxury”, and in NYC – it sometimes is. But it never hurts to ask! Call your hotel concierge a week or two in advance of your trip to see if they can get you tickets. While sometimes they aren’t able to get you discounted tickets, sometimes they can get you excellent opportunities that the “normal” traveler wouldn’t know is available. While you’re at it – ask them to book you a reservation at a great restaurant too!

Discount Ticket Booths.

Are you a last minute planner? Tickets for the Christmas Spectacular are usually available at the TKTS booths scattered around NYC. These are put run by the TDF (??) and provide discounted tickets for shows around the City. You can even find ticket prices up to 50% off some shows!

You won’t want to miss out on this NYC Christmas tradition. The world famous Rockettes have been performing in NYC since 1932, and the first Christmas Spectacular was performed a year later 1933. Sometimes the key to seeing a piece of history is thinking outside of the box.

Shameless plug by InsureMyTrip:
If you book your tickets early, look at the refund policy – some travel insurance plans will include
coverage for non-refundable event tickets. Don’t pay for your once in a lifetime show without a backup plan!
